We all stared at her in stunned silence for a moment. To say this was unusual among Lycan culture was beyond an understatement. A Luna supported her mate, the Alpha, in his leadership of the pack, and if he was no longer able, the Beta would almost always take over.

There was no circumstance I'd ever heard of where a Luna would lead, and judging by Saxon's and Haden's shocked reactions, they hadn't ever heard of this happening either.

"Their.. Luna?" Haden repeated breathlessly, as Saxon glanced at me, "And a Royal," he said flatly, seeming to overcome his shock a little faster than Haden did.
