“So, what brings you here, Josh, you don't look like a trouble maker.” Amelia asked trying to keep the conversation between her and Josh going.

"if you don't mind, I'd like to concentrate on my assignment," Josh replied respectfully. He couldn't understand why she was so interested in talking to him. She seemed to come from a wealthy background, which made him feel uneasy because he wasn't accustomed to people like her taking an interest in him. Typically, individuals from affluent backgrounds would mock him, so he found it unusual and wasn't inclined to engage in conversation.

Amelia nodded understandingly, noting Josh's polite yet distant response. His guarded demeanor was evident, and she didn't understand why, but she respected his wish for solitude to focus on the assignment.

Glancing at Josh briefly, she turned her attention to the desk.

As the minutes ticked by in the detention room, Mrs. Henderson rose from her desk, commanding attention with a swift clearing of her throat.
