Flashback*
Ahmed Nawaz was in his cabin, working on his laptop when he heard noises coming from outside.
He thought of ignoring it when someone barged into the office.
"At least listen to me." Dayyan's pleading voice came as he entered the cabin.
But what shocked Ahmed wasn't Dayyan coming to his cabin, neither it was Dayyan's guilty posture.
What truly stunned Ahmed Nawaz was a young girl who entered the cabin with Dayyan. Clad in denim jeans shirt and black trousers, the girl's main highlight were her loud red lipstick and a determined expression on her face.
Ahmed got up from his chair, confusingly.
Present Day*The meeting was done, Ahmed Nawaz and Dayyan entered his cabin after bidding goodbye to their client."Dad, can I ask you something?" Closing the door of the cabin, Dayyan asked.Ahmed Nawaz only nods his head as he sits down, and picks the receiver to order two cups of coffee for them."How do you know mom's likes and dislikes so well?" Dayyan asked as he unbuttoned his blazer, and sat down. This question was nagging him for a period, he never knew his father knows his mother that well. From childhood, he has only seen his brother instructing his father, and his father doing the complete opposite of what she says.
Looking into the small mirror which hanged on the broken window of her room, she made two side braids of her hair and quickly got ready for her school. "Amma, I am going." Properly wearing a scarf on her head, she left her room, calling for her mother but stopped on the way when she saw her father entering the house. "Abba! My teacher was asking for fees." Soni told her father on the door. She did see the tired face of her father, and it ache her heart, but the words of her teacher were still fresh in her mind that if fees won't be submitted on time, she won't be allowed to attend her classes. "When is the last day to submit the fee?" Akhtar Muneer was now sitting on a wooden chair as his wife passed him a glass of water, he asked, tiredness and grief were visible in his voice.
"I want your homework on my desk tomorrow, or I won't let you enter the classroom." Strictly, Subh-Dil said to her student. One week ago, Subh-Dil asked all of them to write an essay on global warming, but this student keep making excuses for not turning up her essay and Subh-Dil decided to be strict with her now. "Yes, ma'am!" The meek voice of the student came as her head was bowed down. "You can go now." Subh-Dil dismissed her. Nodding her head, she quickly left the classroom. "Why so serious?" Usman, who was present there in the classroom, and witnessed Subh-Dil's harsh behaviour with the student, asked, jokingly. Subh-Dil, whose mood was off, didn't bother to reply, and le
Taking off her jewellery, she pretended that she didn't feel his intense gaze. But when she couldn't resist it anymore, she finally turned to him, giving him the attention he wanted."What's wrong?" Asked Subh-Dil, looking at Ammar through the mirror, Ammar was laying on the bed on his elbow and his hand under his head."Nothing!" Instead of answering her properly, he smiled ear-to-ear."Why are you looking at me like this?""I can look at you as much as I want. After all, it is my right." Sitting up, Ammar proudly said. His claim make her lowered her eyes, as she faced the mirror to take off her make-up.Today was the

Do you have any other friends where she can go?" Akhtar asked, anxiously."No, we don't have an
Subh-Dil didn't knock twice, the door was opened in one knock. A young lady stood there, looking at them confusingly. She wasn't the girl that Subh-Dil left, nor Subh-Dil herself was like before. They both have grown up, the immature girls that they were before have changed into women. It took the young lady a few seconds to recognize Subh-Dil, and when she did, a huge smile fall on her face."Soni!" She said, happily."Barkha!" The same happiness was in Subh-Dil's voice, as Barkha pulled her in a tight hug."You?... Here? How? When?" Still hugging her, Barkha asked. Barkha has not noticed Ammar yet, but even Subh-Dil seems to forget him."Can we come inside first?" Breaking the hug, Subh-Dil a
Does he know? Barkha's voice came into her mind, as she turned to look at Ammar, who was driving the car.Doesn't matter if he knows or not, him being on her side is enough to make Azam stay away from her. And this thought was enough to calm her."What happened?" Averting his eyes away from the road to her, Ammar asked."Nothing." Subh-Dil shook her head negatively, and looked out of the window. They've spent a day at Subh-Dil's Aunt's house, Aunt Fareen, she was an old widow who lived alone as her son was in the army, Aunt Fareen was very happy to see Subh-Dil, especially after knowing Subh-Dil is married and happy in her life. Besides Raza's family, she was the only one who knew Subh-Dil was innocent, for
"Hello!" The person turned to her, making her eyes widen, as she felt her body turn cold."You?" A gasp left her mouth. In from of her stood her past which she has buried and didn't want anyone to find out."Yes, it's me. What's wrong? Aren't you happy to see me?" innocently, Azam asked, as if he was her long-distance friend."Get out of my house right now." Controlling her heartbeat, she said, not wanting him to feel her anxiety."What happened to you, Soni? Why are behaving so mean? We are old friends.""Shut your non-sense and leave my house before I call the guards." She points at the door, and ordered.
