22. Meeting Peter Lee

Lee was in his office making calls to confirm the final arrangements of the currently heartbroken and depressed girl on his couch, he was extremely surprised when he got that phone call that dawn from Ann.

Putting the phone from his last call down he remembered what happened clearly, she was crying hysterically which took him by great surprise. Ann hardly cries, he had never seen her cry since he knew her so to hear her crying like that broke his heart into a million pieces, he asked her to wait for him as he drove to get her. The sight of her coiled like a ball in the cold weather on the love bench on the park still makes his heart clench bitterly.

He went to her that dawn and picked her up, she didn’t even make a sound making him wonder if she knew it was him carrying her or simply didn’t care, when he took her to his place, she was a hot mess. She was sobbing throughout the night, that night was a painful and sad one for both of them, they couldn’t sleep a wink.
