Rebecca's POV

The morning in Blackwood Castle was beautiful. The bright blue sky shaded the palace which was surrounded by tall pine trees.

"Oh... how cute ...." I wiggled my fingers in Lucas's grip.

"Maybe his eyes don't see clearly yet, but he can already track his mother's voice," said Esme who was in the corner of the room.

That woman was assigned to help me take care of Lucas after I left the Healer Center.

I, who was sitting by the window with Lucas on my lap, turned to her and smiled. "Esme, I'm grateful to live in this place. After this birth, I'm allowed not to work for a while."
