Her eyes focused on me like she was trying to uncover a hidden truth. I managed to keep a straight, yet worried look but Luna didn't seem like she was buying it much.

"You know the council decides what the Alpha says," she said, circling her finger around the edge of the cup she held on to.

"I figured," I said, still very clueless of what was going on.

"You really don't remember anything about yourself? Because you're making my husband and I be at a tight spot here. It's harder to keep them calm every single day that passes," she sighed out, frustrated already.

I almost felt bad, but my fear of betrayal still overshadowed my sympathy. I didn't care if they threw me out, all I wanted was to enact revenge and save my pack.

My eyes turning red was most likely because my father died and I was the last alpha blood in the pack. It increased my obligation to rescue my people from the monster that they all suffered from since the coup.
