I noticed that Beau had gone but also when I sat at the table with the tray of food there was someone missing.

“Where’s Jesse?” I asked.

“He transferred to one of the other barracks.” Jett said.

“What? Why?” I asked.

“After what happened to you, it kind of scared the crap out of all of us.”
