Chapter 46

I hesitantly said the word "trust" as if I were unsure of its significance. However, I was aware of the word.

Trust. Trusting. Trustworthy. Confianza. "Trust" I repeated, and it didn't matter how many times I said it or in what language; to me, it still meant the same thing.

Levi said, peering over the table at me, "Yes, trust, May. You trust me. Don't you?"

You already know that I do, I retorted. Levi 's risky and grand plan had problems, and I wanted to fight with him, but I couldn't. Not when there were people present. In our cramped cabin, Levi and I occupied opposite sides of the table, with those that we 'trusted' occupying the other chairs.
