A throbbing pain jolted me from my slumber, and I bit my lower lips to resist it. I looked up as I heard some voices around me. I was surprised to see different maids held captive like me in a prison chariot which was covered with clothes to prevent us from looking outside the prison.

What were they doing there? Where were they taking us to?

I felt another level of anger surged through my veins when I remembered how Lady Kathy betrayed me despite the love and care that I showed to her.

Maybe I wasn't destined to make friends without getting betrayed at the end in one way or the other.

I didn't expect her to be ungrateful. Not only did I sacrifice my life to save them but I also had the responsibility to look after them when they were recuperating.

I couldn't blame the rogues because they apologized to me for betraying me and it was because they were forced by Lady Kathy.

The gossip of the maids who were in the prison chariot with me answered my question.
