Chapter 83: Only Hope

“HANG in there, Alexandra. We can almost see the head. Just push a little more, all right? You can do this. I’m here. I’ll hold your hand.”

Tears rolled down my cheeks as I held onto my mother’s hand. Her free hand wiped the cold sweat off my face. It was like all my veins were about to pop out. It hurt so much.
