Chapter 84. Helena POV
There were a few reasons behind summoning Bella and Lucien this morning.
Firstly Alexander was conscious, he woke with the sun that morning eager to get back to normal. Amazingly, his wound was completely healed, far beyond anything shifter healing can normally accomplish considering the depth and severity.
Secondly, I’ve had another vision. The night before I thought it was just a pleasant dream but it came again last night running exactly the same. I couldn’t wait to tell Alexander about it but I knew he was uneasy with the assassin still being in the castle.
Whatever I said couldn’t shake his dislike of him. I wonder if it was because he owed him his life. It is not often an Alpha, king of all around him, must owe his life to a criminal. The fact Lucien was not a member of his pack and therefore paid his no deference annoyed him too.
We knew we couldn’t send Bella straight back to prison, not without being completely heartless.
