The woman at the entrance, identified as Clover, hesitated for a moment before showing me the way. Blue fire ignited in several torches that had remained hidden from view. It was a long, long way up a dark mountain. It would take me hours to get up there, but I couldn't back down at this point.

Apparently, it was not the most usual thing in the world to demand a meeting, but Clover said that just because I was Eleanor's daughter, Ihad that privilege. She also warned me that some witches may not be happy with my entry into the community. She was kind, if a little cautious when speaking to me. She was in charge of lighting the way throughout the night, walking beside me in silence.

After a short flight from reaching the top, she said goodbye with a small bow.

"I wish you the best of luck, daughter of Eleonor."

"Thanks, Clover."
