Chapter 12

Xavier POV

I was sitting with my parents, my aunt and uncle, and my cousins eating dinner when the air turned to electricity from the adrenaline of all the wolves around. Something had caught their attention and made them get worked up so I stood up and looked around to see what it was. That's when I saw Jocelyn with her hands in Nova's hair, getting ready to slap her again. Without a word I rushed forward to stop Jocelyn from hurting Nova, hearing my chair hit the ground from how quickly I had moved. As I rushed forward though, I was shocked to see Nova fighting back, and winning. I chuckled when she throat punched her, understanding that the throat punch was obviously her go to. She tried to stop the fight then and there by pushing Jocelyn away from her, but that girl wouldn't stand down, so she went back at Nova, who made quick work of putting her down with a kick to the knee before smacking her face off of her own knee as she went down.
