Her odd eyes are on me as Xander leaves the room. She looks at me in the same way as when I ran my hands over some of her scars until she closed her eyes.

“Why did you send him away?” She asks quietly

“You were growing frustrated. I can feel it.” I stil wasn't certain if it was me marking her or not, but our connection was growing stronger.

She fingers the hem of her tee, dropping her eyes as she frowns. “Do you really think the Red Moon Pack is mine?”

“No. I think your brother is clutching at anything in the hopes that you will forgive him.”

“Forgive him?” She almost laughs. “When I needed him most, he abandoned me. You should hear some of the things that Anika is saying about him.”

“I can only imagine.” I smile at her.

She keeps her distance, continuing to wrap her fingers in the hem of her tee. A frown appears, disappearing as quickly as it came.

“Talk to me.” I mutter, moving towards her

“What do you want me to talk about?” She asks innocently, acting like I didn’t know her
