Blue

“Is that what you want?” Jaxon's voice is low as he asks me. But the truth was, I didn’t know.

He tilts my chin up with a single finger. Forcing me to look directly into his eyes. The gold flecks shine brightly as he searches my eyes. I knew he was Jaxon and yet, at the same time, it was like I didn’t know him at all.

“Can you remember the first time you slept in here? Or the first time you gave yourself to me?”

I frown as I try to recall the memories and he lets go of me. He turns away from me, moving to the window. He lets out a quiet sigh as he lowers himself to the window sill. His arms fold up across his chest and he watches me.

He doesn’t frown, but I had seen the look before. The look of pity.

“I can’t help it.” I snap

“I know and I’m not blaming you for that. What Quinn did to you was messed up and that’s coming from me.”

Sitting back on the bed, his gaze follows me.
