120. Breaking away

ALPHA ASHER'S POV

I lay on my bed, wrapped up in the warm embrace of Lia's body. Her hands were tangled in my hair, her lips fiercely meeting mine. My body was alive with desire, and I could feel the heat between us rising. I was lost in the moment when I heard the knocking on my door.

I growled in frustration, breaking away from Lia's lips. "Whoever it is, tell them to go away!" I commanded, my voice rough with need.

But the knocking continued, persistent and insistent. I got up from the bed, my muscles tense and my body primed for action. As I made my way to the door, I could feel my alpha instincts taking over. I knew that something was wrong, and I needed to be alert.

I flung open the door, ready to unleash my wrath on whoever was interrupting my time with Lia. But when I saw William standing there, his face pale and anxious, my anger turned to confusion.

"What's going on, William?" I demanded, my tone hard and commanding.

William took a deep breath, his eyes flickering nervously.
