That was when I grew very concerned about her condition. The doctor had assured she would be OK and that she would heal faster once he applied medications on her, and that had been done last night.

But with the look from the nurses and those who were on our way while rushing to the ICU, I knew something was definitely wrong. I did not stop to acknowledge the family that came to see me.

They had informed me earlier that they were coming to join my Pack but this wasn't the time to stop and talk to anybody. I would be done for if anything happened to Lia, and I prayed that nothing had happened to her. She was the consolation I had left, and Ryan and his father would pay with their lives if her condition was life threatening.

I was so worried that I couldn't think of anything else. I continued to pray fervently on our way, asking the Moon Goddess to help me overcome whatever it was. The best I could do for the family was to ask the Beta to take them where they would wait
