Chapter 31

Alpha Alex laughed. He backed away a little but came back immediately.

"Sandra, you do not need to come at her that way. She's someone very important"

Sandra didn't back away, "If she is so important then who is she?"

Amelia was shaking in her boots. The woman before was beautiful and not just that, she was the daughter of a beta wolf. She was miles off her league. Amelia felt herself looking down at her feet and her dress, she was becoming more self aware.

"Her name is Amelia and she is my mate"

Alex said proudly behind her.

His words made Sandra stop. She lifted her gaze to him and then back at Amelia. Her eyes widened in disbelief.

"What do you mean by she is your mate?"

"You heard me right, Sandra"

Alex reaffirmed. His lips curved into a smile. He took his hand to Amelia's shoulder and then caressed it, "Isn't that right, Amelia?"

Amelia's eyes had not let her feet. She went an extra mile by lowering her head.

"I would like to be excused"

She whispered quietly.
