An Accomplice

After some more begging and doubtful assurances, Anthony made up his mind and succumbed to his queen’s wishes. He had no idea on what the king would say to him when he knows this but for some reason, he understood the queen.

He has been a witness himself of the sad and long nights the queen had to endure because of her pregnancy. She couldn’t go wherever she wants, couldn’t even eat whatever she craved. Everything was delineated.

“We’ll leave an hour before midnight, my queen. I’ll pick you up from your room. Don’t forget to wear the hoodie. The one you used before.”
