Chapter 022 - Beauty and Glamour

“You are making it sound so weird,” I say, narrowing my eyes at him.

Caius laughs and reaches out towards my waist. He pulls me into his body and leans his head to the side. That way, I can have a better view of his neck.

“What are you waiting for?”

“You should sit. You can clearly see that you are very much taller than I am.”

I scowl at him, my hands against his shoulder. I snort. “Or you can just sit down. I don’t like this position.”

“Stop being so finicky about it. If you don’t stop, I will devour you instead.”

My cheeks flush with heat as I glare at him.

He grins. “What are you waiting for? Don’t you want to drink my blood? To nourish yourself? Your glamour will start to fade soon, you know.”
