Pain…

Ache…

Sting…

And ache again…

With each step, I took toward my living chambers, I felt pain all over my body and my face ached just as my lips stung painfully. However, I commended myself for being strong to the extent of laughing with Ava as we talked about how the combat went.

I could not remember all the details because most of my actions and counter-attacks were done out of pure survival instinct but Ava kept tabs on everything and she narrated how she felt so proud watching me.

I was happy that she was happy and Arla was too but Ava didn't see that my victory came with a price. Aside from the hurt my body carried like a second skin, my heart was hurt too… the Lycan Gammas couldn't even recognize their princess. I didn't expect much from them but I never expected that they would all be against me.
