Chapter 12

Indeed, Ingrid helps me out throughout the day. Teaching me everything I need to know. I haven't seen Mecury all day, as I was still waiting for him to say he's joking.

Still, I don't believe he's genuine about. Ingrid tries to convince me, but I just don't trust Mecury.

I take pictures of the contract and send them to Kellie. I just want her to check them for me.

She promised to and that she'll get back to me.

Later that day, Ingrid accompanies us home.

"You should join us for dinner," I suggest before stepping out of the car.

"I wish I can. But I have somewhere to rush to," she responds.

" That's fine. Maybe next time, " I say.

" I'll see you tomorrow. Have a nice night." I step out of the car into the driveway.

"Drive safe," I wave with a warm smile. She nods with a wave and I close the car. Soon she's driving down the street, leaving me alone in the driveway.

I finally decide to go inside. Still, a little cooked up about today. I don't even know how I'll explain it to my parents.
