Alyssa’s point of view

Running as fast as my feet could carry me out of the castle. I didn’t care about where I was going. I just needed to get out of here.

I found a tree and took off my dress as I shifted into my wolf, silver fur filled my body. I can feel the bones cracking and I just close my eyes to let Ligia take over me.

It has been a well since I shifted because I am mostly behind a desk. I stand on two feet. I hold loudly, letting go of the pain. It’s the only way I can scream without hurting anyone.

Run. Run. Alyssa. Run. I inwardly told myself.

Through the woods, I picked up my pace as fast as Ligia would take me. My heart is racing fast, and a thousand thoughts running through my mind.

‘His not ours!’ Ligia remarked, talking about Kaleb. She has been saying the same thing for the last few hours.

“I can’t let him marry me,” I thought to myself, desperate for a way out of the woods. My body wants to give up on me, and my legs hurt. It feels like I have been running for hours
