Sinclair’s POV

If I settled for war seeing as I wanted to knock some heads after the news I had received, I would be happy with the results later on. But right now, I had to deal with Jane.

This was not going to be easy. It would be better dealing with arrows in the battlefields than telling a mother that her children had been kidnapped.

Inhaling deeply, I entered the room to meet with the woman who smiled after seeing me.

“Good morning sunshine,” I faked a smile. “Did you sleep well?”

“Yes I did,” she smiled, noticing that something was wrong. “Wait, did something happen?”

I hesitated, wondering if this was a good idea, but I knew it was not a good idea.

“We need to talk,” I sighed. “The pack was under attack last night.”

Her eyes widened in shock.

“Did anyone get hurt?!” she asked.

“Well, a lot of people died so I think the answer is yes.”

“Sinclair this isn’t the time to be a wise ass. You really need to tell me what happened. People died and you’re making jokes with this.”
