The Luna II

We entered the training field to have everyone staring at me.

“We shouldn’t be here,” Gail said scared out of her mind.

“How can I help you ladies?” the officer of the field said when he got to us before seeing who I was. He bowed before me as he led us to his office.

“What would you want my Luna?” He asked. I was going to get used to the name soon enough even when it cringed me out everytime it was said out loud.

I was so used to being called my name which was followed by insults.

“I want to train,” I said.

We stared at each other for a while before he gestured for me to go on, but I had nothing else to add to it.

“Oh that’s it,” was my conclusion.

“What are you training for?”

“I don’t know.”

He leaned forward, his hands clasped on the table.

“You have to have a goal before you can join the field. Everyone here has a goal. Now if you’ve seen in the field, most of the warriors here are training for the tournament the alpha put up.”

“But the fighters have been chosen.”
