"Daphne,"

Liam whispered, and I almost jumped out of my skin. I think we both need to see the town's therapist.

He placed his hands on my shoulders with worry etched on his face. "Are you okay?"

"I have told you to stop doing that!" I snapped. Why doesn't he ever listen? I don't think Liam is at fault here. I am just paranoid.

He snatched his hands like he touched something hot.

I sighed. "I am sorry."

He patted my back in understanding. I just can't get over it. The feeling that someone is watching me... It was not a good feeling. "I understand why you are jumpy."

I froze, and my neck sharply turned toward him. He does? "You do?"

He gave a nod. "You are worried about your boss." Don't worry. Just take someone with you. Everything will be fine."
