Chapter 86: The End

It wasn’t hard to get the evidence after searching through all my cousin’s papers, mails, belongings. Ana and I got everything pretty much written in black and white, and we gave those lycans a proper punishment and warning the rest of the council, that should any of them ever overstep again, then I would not be as kind as I had been. They would get the same treatment as my cousin. For now, the other lycans were in jail, and would be there till the end of their days. I know it wasn’t exactly what Ana had wanted, but it was enough. I saw the peace it brought my mate. A few days after we had arrested and put the lycans in jail, we were lying in bed, and I could feel such calm spreading through my mate as she finally accepted it was all over. She was leaning back against me and I was stroking her arm up and down with the tips of my fingers.

“It’s over…” she whispered.

I smiled, and she looked behind her, looking up at me.

“It’s over.”
