Aurelia's POV

I walked back into the hall just in time to meet Norton's gaze. He was in the midst of his father and advisor. When he saw me, I saw his expression falter a bit. He excused himself and stormed my way. Even with all these people, was he going to let his true character show?

He grabbed my arm tightly but forced a smile to everyone around before pulling me into a corner.

"Where the fuck did you go?" he asked through gritted teeth, glaring at me like I was his pet who had gone out of a leash.

"A walk," I said. "You're hurting me. I'm not going to cover a bruise, Norton. Let go-" He squeezed my arm tighter and I clenched down on my jaw, swallowing the pain.
