Liam's POV

I tucked Aurelia in bed and sat by her side for a few minutes. I stared at her as she slept peacefully. She sighed in her sleep and moved closer towards me.

I smiled and touched her hair, enjoying how her face lifted with a content smile. She looked satisfied and worn out at the same time.

After a while, I got up and started to head out. I stepped out into the night and saw the female warrior that was part of the trio that saved Aurelia. As soon as our eyes met, she lowered her head.

"Your Highness," she greeted.

"Mira, was it?" I asked, unsure of her name.

"Yes, your Highness," she retorted, her eyes looking everywhere but me.

"Guard her. You're not to report to me. You're simply to protect her from any threat you sniff around her," I ordered. "The other two," I trailed off, thinking for a while.

"They are good warriors, your Highness. They would do anything to protect Miss Aurelia. They care for her but they know their boundaries."

I wasn't the least pleased by her words
