Chapter 96

Aurelia's POV

The next day, Alpha Adrian didn't interfere with my work. I was assigned to the artwork that was hung in the halls this time. Casey and Glenn came to fetch me as usual but they both wore their silence, especially Glenn who had a frown on her face.

She still couldn't accept that I had ignored her friendliness while I still wrapped my head around my personality shift and tried to reconnect with my wolf.

"Even my senses are dulled," I noticed when I tried to sniff out the scent of the guard that walked past. I couldn't detect anything.

It was a slow torture that I desperately wanted to recover from.

I stared at one of the paintings and realised how weird it looked. "That's no right," I said to myself. It was slanted to the right and I took my time to fix it back in the middle, "That's much better," I thought aloud.

It was a painting of a bountiful apple tree. It was a neat coloured sketch that was appealing to the eyes. It looked quite old-

"Beautiful, isn't it?"
