Chapter 16

Aurelia's POV

I looked outside the window - something I've been doing constantly for a week now.

The sun was out today and it seemed like a good time to let my wolf out and receive some of that Vitamin D but all I could do was stare with hunger in my eyes, envying the grass, the trees and pretty much anything that wasn't confined to the four walls of the room I was placed in.

In exchange for shelter, good food and clothes, I had to give up my freedom. Oh and also in exchange for being kept away from Norton's reach. I guess that was all that mattered yet it felt like I had just wandered from one confined space to another.

At least, the King didn't give me any chores- at this point, I think I would have preferred that. Anything to just step out to breathe in fresh air. The windows were opened so I guess that was a plus-

"Oh Aurelia," I sighed and palmed my head. "You poor thing!" I couldn't help but feel sorry for myself.
