When we entered the room, I was relieved to see that it really did look like a doctor’s room. He pointed at the only chair in the room—which I found odd—for me to sit on. Zaliver greeted the man, shook his hands, and patted his shoulder. He leaned against the wall beside me and crossed his arms over his chest.

“Hello Vivian, my name is Doctor Mickelson, but you can call me Dr. Mick. I’m not sure if you know why you’re here.” He saw Zaliver shaking his head and nodded. “Okay, so when Zaliver informed me about you, he said he wanted to conduct a research. Note why you aren’t marked like normal mates yet?” I glared at the doctor for the reminder. He flinched a little and glanced to Zaliver, who must have had a scary expression on his face because he immediately apologized.

“Sorry! That came out wrong. Well, the reason for that was he wants to know how both of you will react to a mating bite and bond. It’s the first we’ve ever heard of such—a bond between a wolf and a wolf god,” Dr. Mick
