Chapter 80: Cupcake

Where is he?

I had been looking for Dad since morning but till now I hadn’t caught a single sight of him. I had even discreetly tried to look around for Laverna but she had been absent too from her usual post.

I don’t like her…

‘But you like me, right?’ Seff’s voice rang in my head making me look towards him.

“Get out of my head,” I grumbled, elbowing him slightly, “Of course I like you.”

“But then why aren’t you paying any attention to me?” he pouted, pulling the hood over his head to shield his face from the public’s eye. Similar to him I too had dressed up in normal clothes. A hoodie was covering my head but I had omitted the mask that Seff was required to wear.

I know he was only joking with me but I still felt guilty. He was right. I had promised to spend the day with him and here I was fretting about something about which I wasn’t even completely sure yet.

Letting go of his hand I instead linked my arm with his and leaned against him, “Alright, you big baby I will give y
