CHAPTER 91

Gianna's POV

My eyes opened slowly, feeling groggy and disoriented and blinking at the bright light flooding the room, there was an attempt to make sense of the surroundings and a white ceiling, a beige curtain, and a softly beeping monitor came into view.

A dull ache was felt in my chest, and then, I noticed the bandage around the head, realizing my body was lying on a hospital bed, hooked to wires and tubes. Wondering what had happened and why this place was my current reality.

My memory was probed but my mind was blank, and nothing made sense at the moment.

A surge of panic coursed through my veins and a tear rolled down the cheek while looking around, hoping to see a familiar face, but the room was empty. Feeling alone and scared, there was an earnest wish to remember anything, the more I tried, the more my head ache making me feel like I've never existed.
