Chapter 2:Trapped with the Cruel Alpha King
The door slammed behind him, leaving me alone in the dimly-lit room with nothing but the shattered vial and an empty feeling inside her.
I didn't know what was going to happen to me, but i knew i couldn't stay here with a man as cruel and heartless as Maximus Blackwood. Moving slowly, i hobbled out of the laboratory and back to my room, my mind reeling from the shock of what had just happened.
Alone in the silence of my chamber, I made a decision: I had to escape.
When the sun rose the next morning, i knew that i had to escape. I looked around my room, contemplating my options. I knew that i would have to be quick, silent, and leave as little of a trace as I could. I needed to go somewhere where Maximus couldn't find me.
Suddenly, a knock at my door jolted me back to my senses. "Mrs. Blackwood?" It was Marcus. "Are you in there? The Alpha King wishes to see you. It's urgent."
I frantically searched my room, trying to think of an escape plan. I spotted an open window and made my way towards it.
"Mrs. Blackwood?" Marcus's voice grew louder. "Is everything alright?"
I looked back at the door and realized that he wasn't going to go.
I took a deep breath, steadying myself. I knew what i had to do.
"I'm coming Marcus," i called out, trying to keep my voice steady. I make my way to the door.
As i stepped out of her room, Marcus gave me a stern look. "The Alpha King is waiting for you, Mrs. Blackwood. You shouldn't keep him waiting."
"I understand," i responded, trying my best to hide my anxiety. "Lead the way."
The walk to Maximus' chambers felt longer than usual. Every step felt heavy, every breath felt like i was suffocating. I knew he was going to punish me for my act the day before.
As we entered Maximus' chambers, I couldn't help but feel a sense of dread wash over me. The room was dimly lit, with candles flickering on every surface. Maximus sat on his throne, staring at me with cold, calculating eyes.
"Mrs. Blackwood," he spoke in a low voice. "I trust you're aware of the consequences of your actions?"
I swallowed hard, trying to keep my composure. "Yes, your highness. I understand."
"Good," he said, standing up from his throne. "Because I have decided to give you a second chance."
I felt a glimmer of hope rise in my chest. Maybe he wasn't as cruel as I thought.
"But," he continued, his voice taking on a darker tone. "You will be closely monitored from now on. Any more attempts to escape or defy me will result in severe punishment."
My hope vanished as quickly as it had come. "Understood," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.
Maximus stepped closer to me, his eyes boring into mine. "And one more thing," he said, a cruel smirk forming on his lips. "I've decided to take a personal interest in your training from now on," Maximus said, his voice laced with malice.
I felt a shiver run down my spine at his words. I knew what that meant - more experiments, more pain, more torture.
But I couldn't let him break me. I had to find a way out of this hellhole, no matter what it took.
"As you wish, your highness," I said, forcing a smile onto my face.
Maximus nodded, seemingly satisfied with my response. "You may leave now," he said, waving his hand dismissively.
I turned to leave, but as I reached the door, Maximus spoke again.
"Oh, and Mrs. Blackwood," he said, his voice taking on a more sinister tone. "I wouldn't try anything foolish if I were you. Remember, there are eyes everywhere."
I felt a cold sweat break out on my forehead at his words. I knew he was right - I was being watched at all times.
I couldn't help but feel a strange attraction to the Alpha King. Despite his cruelty and harsh words, there was something about him that drew me in, something i couldn't quite explain.
Days turned into weeks, and i was subjected to the daily abuse of Alpha King Maximus. He would come to my chambers and demand that i perform my duties, berating me if i didn't produce results quickly enough.
Titus was no better, often using his position of power to harass and intimidate me. I felt like a prisoner, trapped in a life that i never asked for.
But despite the abuse, i couldn't help but feel a powerful attraction to Alpha King Maximus. I knew it was wrong, knew that he was treating me terribly, but there was something about him that made me heart race.
One day, while i was cleaning her chambers, i overheard a conversation between Alpha King Maximus and his trusted advisor, Marcus.
"I don't understand why you're so hard on her," Marcus said. "She's just a young woman who's been thrust into a terrible situation."
Alpha King Maximus snorted. "You know as well as I do that women are nothing but trouble. They'll do anything for money and power, and I won't be taken advantage of again."
I felt a pang of sadness at his words.
" I'm not like the other women you had been with, i genuinely cared for him despite everything you had done to me Maximus" I thought disappointed.
But before i could dwell on my thoughts, I heard Alpha King Maximus say something that made my blood run cold.
"I don't know why I'm so drawn to her," he said. "There's something about her that I can't resist. It's like she's under my skin."
My heart skipped a beat." Could it be possible that he felt the same attraction that i did?" I wondered.
Just as i was about to ponder this further, Titus burst into my chambers, his face contorted with rage.
"Get up," he snarled. "The Alpha King wants to see you."
I followed him back to the throne room, my heart pounding in my chest. I had no idea what he wanted, but i knew that it couldn't be good.
As I entered the room, i saw Alpha King Maximus standing before me, his eyes burning with an intensity i had never seen before.
"What is the meaning of this?" Alpha King Maximus thundered. "You have been in my service for months now, and yet you have failed to produce me an heir."
"I...I'm sorry, your highness," I stammered, feeling like a child caught in the act of misbehaving. "I'm doing everything I can, but..."
"But what?" he cut me off, his voice rising in anger. "I have given you every resource available, every advantage, and yet you still can't give me what I demand?"
"I...I don't know what else to do," I said, feeling tears prick at the corners of my eyes. "I'm trying my best, but it's not working."
Alpha King Maximus stepped closer to me, his eyes burning with anger. "You'd better find a way," he said, his voice low and menacing. "Or else there will be consequences."
"I understand," I said, feeling like a trapped animal. "I'll do my best."
"You'd better," he said, turning to leave. "I expect results, Mrs. Blackwood. Don't disappoint me again."
Alpha King Maximus continued, "I hope you understand your role here. You are to bear me a son, nothing more. If you fail in that task, you will be punished severely."
I nodded, too scared to speak. I had heard stories of what happened to women who failed to produce a male heir, and i didn't want to find out for myself.
As he walked away, I couldn't help but feel as much or even more attracted to him.
It was like an inner voice told me i've found the person I was meant to be with. This time the instinct was strong and i can't ignored it this time . I was scared of what it could mean.
" No it can't be possible ! No ! No! " I screamed in anger.
The next morning,I got up, taking a deep breath, and headed to the bathroom to wash my face. As I looked into the mirror, I saw a different reflection staring back at me. I was no longer the naive girl who had been sold off to the Alpha King. I was Felicity Blackwood, Maximus' wife, and I had to start acting like it.I put on a brave face and made my way down to the dining hall, where the rest of the pack had already gathered. Marcus greeted me with a "Good morning, Mrs. Blackwood.""Good morning, Marcus," I replied, trying to be polite. As I sat down at the table, I could feel the eyes of the other pack members on me. They were all waiting for me to produce an heir, to secure Maximus' place as the Alpha King."What's on the agenda for today?" I asked, trying to distract myself from my thoughts.Maximus looked up from his plate. "We have some pack business to attend to. You'll be accompanying me."I tried to hide my fear, but it must have shown on my face because Maximus frowned."Is
As I walked through the palace halls, I felt a sense of dread wash over me. It seemed like everyone was talking about me and my inability to produce an heir.I knew that Maximus was feeling the pressure too, but I couldn't help feeling like it was all my fault. I can't tell him the truth. As I entered my chambers, I felt a wave of relief wash over me. I needed some time to myself to think. But my peace was short-lived. As I was sitting on my bed, I heard a knock on the door."Who is it?" I asked, feeling a sense of unease."It's Titus," came the reply.I hesitated for a moment, wondering if I should let him in. But before I could make a decision, he barged in."Hello, my dear," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm."What do you want, Titus?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady."I just wanted to see how the queen is doing," he said, his eyes roving over my body.I felt a surge of anger. How dare he speak to me like that?"I'm fine," I said, trying to keep my voice even.Titus
Chapter 5: Maximus's pov.I watched helplessly as Felicity ran out of the room, her footsteps echoing in the silence. I clenched my fists, seething with anger and frustration. How dare she disobey me and leave like that? I had warned her of the consequences, but she still chose to defy me."Stop!" I yelled, my voice echoing through the empty room. But she didn't look back, didn't even slow down. I felt a surge of anger rise within me. How could she be so foolish? Didn't she realize the danger she was putting herself ?As i stepped out into the night, the full moon casting an eerie glow on everything around me.I bared my teeth in frustration. I had to find her, and fast. I couldn't let her escape my grasp, I have to find her and punish her.My mind raced as i thought about where she could have gone. I knew the pack territory like the back of my hand, but Felicity was always full of surprises. I couldn't let my guard down for a second."Bring her back here and alive!" I roared to m
My mind raced with fear, anger, and sadness as I ran through the woods, trying to escape from Maximus and his servants. The forest was dense, and I had to dodge trees and branches as I ran. My heart pounded in my chest, and my breaths came in short gasps.Suddenly, I heard footsteps and voices I spotted a small cave up ahead and made a beeline for it. "Where did she go?" asked one of the servants."I don't know," replied another. "But we need to find her before she gets too far.""Spread out and find her, she couldn't get far!" Ordered the first servant.Panic set in as I realized they were getting closer. I spotted a small cave up ahead and made a beeline for it.As I climbed inside, I held my breath and hoped that they wouldn't find me. But then I heard someone entering the cave.I closed my eyes, trying to stay calm, as I heard the sound of someone breathing. It was so close, I could feel the warmth of their breath on my skin. I clutched my fists, ready to fight if necessary."
Chapter 7As the group of men approached, I tried to stay hidden behind the tree, but my heart was pounding so loudly in my chest that I was sure they could hear it. Maximus was scanning the area, searching for me, and I knew that if he found me, it would be the end.Suddenly, a hand reached out and grabbed me, pulling me into a nearby bush. I turned around to see who had saved me and saw a young woman with dark hair and piercing brown eyes."Who are you?" I asked, still trying to catch my breath."My name is Ava," she said. Before I could ask any more questions, she led me through the woods, away from Maximus and his men. We ran for what felt like hours, until we finally reached a small, hidden cabin deep in the forest. As we entered the cabin, I couldn't help but notice how cozy and warm it felt inside. "This is my home," Ava said, "you're safe here.""Thank you," I said, still in shock from what had just happened. "I don't know how to repay you.""Don't worry about it," Ava replied
8Maximus's POV:As i sat in my throne there lost in thought, i heard a commotion outside the throne room. It was my servants returning, and i jumped up, eager to know what news they had.As i approached the entrance to the throne room, I heard the sound of footsteps getting closer. I could hear the muffled voices of my servants as they discussed something, but I couldn't make out the words. Finally, the doors to the throne room opened, and my servants entered. I went back to sitting down and scanned the group, looking for any sign of Felicity. " Where is she ?" I asked angrily. One of the servants stepped forward, bowing low. "Your Majesty, we have not found her . " "And why are you coming back?" I growled furiously "Didn't I tell you not to come back unless you found her?" " We found this one trying to escape my king !" He said pushing Stefan to the floor in front of me .I looked down at Stefan, who was now kneeling before me, his head bowed in submission. "Is this true?" I aske
The sun peeked through the small window of the old, abandoned cabin where Ava and I spent the night. I stretched, feeling the warmth on my face, and took a deep breath, inhaling the fresh morning air."Good morning, Emily," Ava yawned, rubbing her eyes.Don't mind me, I have told that my name is Emily , as I said earlier, I preferred to be safe than sorry."Good morning, Ava," I said, smiling at her.We packed our bags and stepped outside, ready to start the day. As we walked towards the village, we saw a group of villagers gathered around, curiously looking at us."Don't worry," Ava reassured me. "They're just curious. They'll warm up to us soon enough."As we approached the village square, a man with a friendly smile stepped forward."Welcome to our village," he said, extending his hand. "My name is Peter.""Hi, Peter," I said, shaking his hand. "I'm Emily, and this is Ava."Peter introduced us to the other villagers, and we spent the day getting to know them. They showed us around
Chapter 10 Maximus POV But as the night wore on and the trackers failed to return, my impatience grew. Hours turned into days, and still there was no sign of them. Finally, they returned, looking battered and defeated. "What happened?" I demanded, unable to hide my frustration. "Your highness," Marcus said, bowing before me. "We're sorry. We were unable to find Felicity." My anger erupted like a volcano. "What do you mean you couldn't find her? You had a lead!" I slammed my fist on the table. " Damn it! You're just useless!" I snapped. "We followed the tracks to the neighboring pack's territory, but Felicity wasn't there," Marcus explained. "We searched everywhere, but she was nowhere to be found." I couldn't control myself any longer. I picked up a vase and hurled it against the wall, shattering it into a million pieces. "This is unacceptable!" I yelled. "I need answers, and I need them now!" Marcus and the other trackers flinched at my outburst, clearly take
