CHAPTER 88

Ethan's P.O.V

Isabella sat quietly beside me as I drove back to the manor and I did not venture into communication either. The silence between us was maintained by either of us as the car conveyed us back home.

I knew the poor girl had gone through a lot coupled with the weight of the information Emily had passed into her. I felt really bad for her and I wished there was something I could do to make it right but at the moment there wasn't.

The car finally skidded to a halt in front of the house and we both alighted and walked into the house.

The servant, Edna, was there and I quickly dismissed her. When she left, I turned to Isabella who was making her way to the bedroom.

"Hold on a minute." I stopped her.

"What else did Emily tell you when you were back there with her?" I asked.

"I don't know, was she supposed to tell me more?" Isabella replied in confusion.

"She said something about Elena and Axel... When she came." I reminded Isabella.
