Chapter 101

Ethan's P.O.V

My ears were ringing loudly by the sound and for a moment, all that was around was just a mess of limbs as everyone was entangled together on the floor where we were thrown by the impact of the explosive.

I got up and quickly turned towards the shattered door. About five men were making their way into the room swiftly with long blades in thier hand. Even among the chaos, I could perceive the scent of moon lace on their blades. These men were not here just to have a chat with us, they meant business, to kill and to destroy.

As I watched, one of the pack guards in the house with us stumbled forward to intercept the intruders. The assassins moved with relative ease and their movements were swift and precise. Our pack guard soon collapsed, never to rise again.

My eyes quickly went to Mila who was struggling to rise too. Her face registered the same surprise and shock that was on everyone else' face.

If this was a game she was playing on the rest of us, she was playing well
