"Your eyes are all swollen," John says as he cups my face and wipes my tears with his thumb. "Why the tears, hmm?" he sighed heavily. "After I stormed out yesterday, I realised I was such a fool. You've been waiting diligently for me, wanting me all this time and I just walked out. I hope you can forgive me, love." his eyes are sad and he rests his forehead on mine.

"I was so worried when I got back after a few minutes and you were already fast asleep. I called a doctor but he's human so I-"

"You called a doctor? Which doctor?" I haven't had another doctor touch me in all my life. If my family gets a hold of that one, I'm doomed. "D-Did he draw my blood? What tests did he do?"

John doesn't look half as worried as I do. He's the one who's possibly going to die if word gets out.

"No. He just checked your pulse, that's all," he pouts as I heave a sigh. "Is something wrong?"
