Safe Delivery

"Ahhhh..." Emma screamed as she jolted up from the bed.

"What's wrong?" Jonathan who was sleeping beside her was woken up from his sleep, abruptly.

He held onto her and he looked around her frantically, trying to see what was wrong with her.

It had been months and Emma had been visiting the witch every week. Her belly was big at this point and it was obvious she was due for delivery.

"What happened?" He asked again.

"Hmmm..." Emma groaned in pain, holding onto Jonathan.

"M..my water broke." She said, with great difficulty.

Her eyes shut tightly as she felt pain shooting through her abdomen.

"I feel like dying!" She screamed and immediately he got up to his feet.

"You are not going to die! I'll go get the midwife. Hang in there!" He said as he dashed out of the bedroom.

"Mia!!" Jonathan ran around the house, calling out to Mia.

"Yes, sir!" She came right out of the kitchen. It was nighttime but she was still putting things in order in the house.
