The weather was dark, the wind blew, sending shivers to the skin. The moon was full to its highest peak, but Emma found it difficult to get herself to sleep. Her mind was disturbing her as she recalled her conversation with Alex.

She has decided to go on her own, but whenever she comes up with an idea, the fear she has for him makes her want to stay back and give up trying. But some how, she remained a fugitive to give it a try.

She leaves her room for Diego's apartment. Even if he walks her away, she won't mind since he was used to walking her away from his life. Maybe then, she'll have to talk to Alex to talk to him instead.

She folded her arms around her chest, the cold was too much for her skin. She'd shove her hair back if it blocked her eyes, but the wind wasn't doing any justice to her.

As soon as she got to the door, the guards opened it for her without asking what she was doing. They were fond of her even though they knew how much the Lycan king hated her.
