Chapter 17

The Lycan king rose from the bed and began to walk over to the door, forcing me into panic.

"Get on your knees." He whispered to me with a wink, and without wasting a second, I knelt, forcing myself to have a little hope in me.

He opened the door and I could hear Jaden's footsteps with his omnious aura filling the whole room. My breath became shallow, but I tried hard to hide it all while bowing my head in fear.

"What is he doing here? Why are you punishing him?" Jaden inquired, and it was like I had been holding my breath all this time as I finally exhaled the mouthful of air in relief.

All this time, I had the wrong idea. Jaden doesn't know what I have done.

"I caught him peeping into your room!" The king howled, pretending to be angry.

"What??! I don't get it...he was peeping on me when I was in my room. Why would he do that knowing how wrong it is!" Jaden frowned as he glowerwd at me.

"He refused to tell me why he was doing that! He adamantly refused to tell me!" The king growled,
