Jaden smiled shyly at her mother's words as he took my hand into his palm, squeezing it gently.

"She made me fall in love with her, and I still can't understand how that was possible." He whispered, looking passionately at me like I was a piece of magic. His eyes were filled with emotion.

"That's how it works, son. Love comes like a thief in the night. That time you never expected it and with the girl you never thought of." Jaden's mother grinned, and we all couldn't hold back laughter.

"So it is all settled. Carl, it's time to return to the clinic and get well soon. You have a lot of errands to run for me. Remember, my wedding with her is coming up soon. You can't remain that way," Jaden deadpanned, brushing his hair gently while Carl let out a weak smile and nod.

The guards were called in, and they helped him out of the room.
