"How?" Haidan asked, pulling away so that she could get a good look at Asher’s face. "How are you alive?"
"It’s a long story." Asher admitted rubbing the back of his neck. "Maybe I should tell you another time."
His eyes darted from Haidan to Antoine, who was standing inches away from Haidan with an unreadable expression on his face.
"You’re fine to tell us now." Haidan insisted, oblivious to her overly jealous boyfriend. "Come, sit down. I’ll make us some drinks."
"Drinks?" I asked, perking up slightly. "Are we talking about adult drinks?"
