Twenty-Four
I drift in and out of the darkness until I can finally hold onto the light, every time I have scratched the surface it has been with Zachariah's arms wrapped tightly around me. This time is different, he is not holding me and I hear yelling, it takes me a little until I am able to focus on what is going on.
"Jade drop it!"
"No! What did you expect Zach? You kiss Vivian in front of your mate and then act as if she doesn't exist at dinner that same night... Did you really expect her not to run?"
"She is my mate! She belongs by my side..."

Once back at the mansion, Zaire carries my bags up to Zachariah's room while Jade heads to the kitchen for something to eat. I melt into him as he deepens the kiss. I don't realize that we are back until Zachariah starts to move, getting out of the car, still holding me in his lap, and then carrying me bridal style into the mansion. He doesn't break the kiss as he makes his way through the mansion and up to his room.He opens the door and steps inside, shutting the door behind him with his foot. He then moves further into the room and slowly lowers my legs, placing my feet carefully on the floor, but still holding me tight up against him. He then slides his hands up my back to my shoulders and then down my arms, hooking his fingers into the short sleeves of my dress and taking it with them. Once his hands reach mine, he lets go of my dress and it falls the rest of the way to the floor. I hesitantly lift my shaky hands to his chest and slowly start to undo the buttons on his shirt.Once I have undone all the buttons, I slide my hands under the material going up his chest and over his shoulder

He smiles as he then sits up, wrapping his arms around me, pulling me tighter to him so that I am straddling his thighs closer against him so that I can feel his excitement rub up against me. He then kisses me, first soft and gentle, but it isn't long before he deepens it, making it more and more dominant while wrapping his arms tighter and tighter around me...I wrap my arms around his neck and return his kiss; I let out a soft moan as he slightly moves his hips, but he then lets out a low growl and gets to his feet, still holding me tight to him but allowing my feet to touch the ground. Breaking the kiss, he looks over my shoulder. I feel a blush of embarrassment cover my face, so I bury it in his chest. I pull away from him and head into the mansion. Once inside, I make my way up to our room; I go into the closet and pull out a blouse and some jeans. I then walk out of the closet and into the bathroom. I close the door behind me and turn on the shower. As the water warms, I strip off my fighting pants, my underwear, and my top. I then step under the water, allowing the heat to seep into my muscles. I rinse and wash my hair. I jump as two arms wrap around me, pulling me back tight up against a hard chest. I sigh as tingles run through me as he glides his hands up and down my body. I lift my arms and wrap them around his neck above my head as he places soft kisses on my neck and whispers, "Yasmine, you do matter and you were right, I have put it off long enough and you need to start learning what it is to be my mate, my packs Luna and then the Luna of all Luna's... They didn't need telling twice as one of them fumbles with the door. When he finally manages to get it open, they all exit rather quickly.
