Do I need to drink it first?

Declan was stunned by Finn’s words. But he still did it anyway. He drank the water from the glass, leaving it only half full.

“Baby, look. I already drink this. The remain is for you…” Declan was in doubt about handing her the glass. But he finally placed it on the floor, just next to her trembling body.

Lilly seemed to hear him. She lifted her head and looked up at the glass. The water was not as full as before. It looked like this man already drunk it.

But then, she remembered the terrifying memories. They want her to drink or eat, offering her so much food and water that looks delicious. Did they mean it? Or it was just another game the higher status played on her.
