I stand still as loneliness slowly washes over me.

The further Xanne walks away, the deeper this feeling becomes. I cannot live without my best friend. With my Alpha genes, I can easily keep myself safe at this age, but Xanna is an integral part of me. It feels like we share a special bond, it's beyond mere survival instinct for me.
