It's a little after two before I manage to peel myself off the bed, drawing my butt backward to rest my back on the headboard. I groan as I place a hand on my forehead, my skin piping hot. Thanks to the cold weather caused by the rain last night, I'm coming down with a slight fever. My entire body aches and my mouth is sour. A knock sounds on the door, just as I'm about to stand and go into the bathroom to wash my face.

I crane my head forward. “Who is it?”

“It's me, miss. Ally.”

I shut my eyes in relief. The last person I really needed to see right now is Kristoff. After what happened last night, I figure I need to stay away from him. It's the only way he can't affect me or toy with my emotions. “Come in, Al.”

She pulls open the door gently, and peers through, beaming at me. “I've been here before, but you were asleep, ma'am. How are you?”

“Ugh, do I have to spell it out?” I wince, plopping down on my back with a groan. “I've got a splitting headache and a bad cold.”

Author, you told us that Randy was 17 and Kristoff was 8 when everything happened. So either Randy was born in 1995 and died in 2012 or he was born in 1990. Either way, you need to fix this
