Flash Backs

POV Katarina King

As I stepped into the house all the memories of what happened that day came rushing back to me all at once and I felt like I was going to be ill. Maybe it wasn’t a good idea to go home. Alejandro told me that he already put the house on the market, yep he wants to move again but this time it’s because he doesn’t want this to happen, me thinking of every detail, seeing Madeline in our bathroom, feeling the same rush of emotions come crashing back.

My hands are clammy as I walk up the staircase, I grab tighter onto the railing and continue upward. Entering our bedroom I can see her, Madeline, she’s calling out to me to help her and I can’t because I’m tied to our bed, tears fill my eyes as I remember her moans of pain and anguish, hear her shallow breathing and gurgling sound from the blood in her throat. I grab some of my items and I am hit with her body bleeding out on the rug.

It’s like snap shots but they won’t go away and they keep replaying in my mind. Everyt
