Chapter 29: Caring is Scary

Tye next morning, I woke up feeling a bit better. The pain had reduced a bit, not that much but it was now bearable and I felt that I could relax. The nurse felt like a godmother, she helped me everytime getting up and helping me with whatever I needed. I was really thankful to her.

After doing the morning chores, such as freshening up and brushing my teeth, I was sitting on my bed, with my back resting on the head rest, but I was a bit confused. I looked at the nurse, but it felt as if she didn't even notice.

"Do you want something, queen?" She politely asked.

Maybe she noticed my curiosity.

"Actually! I'm feeling really hungry. I need to eat something," I muttered.

"Oh! I'm so sorry, it completely slipped out of my mind," she was quick to apologise and got up from her seat.

"I will bring your breakfast asap," she muttered and was about to leave the room when Avyaan entered.

He was holding a tray while walking towards me.

"There's no need for it. I already took care of it," he
