Chapter 50

Lorenzo’s pov

As I watched Mia flee, it took everything in me to not go after her, like she was a prey who was edging me towards some kind of mock race.

I let out a harsh breath and glanced down at my hand which had been wrapped around her waist minutes ago and I clenched that hand tightly as a low curse slipped past my lips.

Her waist had felt ridiculously tiny in my grip, that I wanted to shove her shirt up to come in contact with her warm skin but had to stop myself from doing that after a moment’s rethinking.

She had felt so damn good on top of me, a welcomed, pleasant, warm weight that I didn’t want her to ever get up.

I knew I was already in deep than I even realized, which isn’t a good thing at all.

I had long established the fact that I wouldn’t be able to kill her like I had planned to, despite how much I want to.

But, lusting after her wasn’t what I was supposed to be doing. I should instead be looking for multiple other ways in which I could still make her father p
